Anyone shipping interactive projects on the web — students, indie hackers, weekend creators, designers. Use AI pair programming if you like, or write everything by hand. Students who verify their school email get a Verified Student badge and access to student-only challenges, but accounts are open to everyone.

Pretty much any side project you've built. Three ways in: (1) drop a .zip of your code, (2) paste a GitHub repo, (3) point us at a hosted URL (Vercel, Netlify, GitHub Pages). Browser-runnable projects (HTML, React, Python via Pyodide, Jupyter via nbviewer) get an embedded live preview. Source-only projects (CLI tools, libraries, scripts that don't render) still get a tool page with screenshots, description, and a source download.

Yes. The Free tier lets you upload up to 3 live tools, post bounties up to $10, run 5 AI quality checks per month, sell tools, and submit to challenges. Upgrade to Pro ($9/mo) or Builder ($24/mo) when you outgrow the limits.

Connect your Stripe account in Settings (one-time, takes ~5 min). When someone pays for your project, money lands in your Stripe balance instantly minus the platform fee — Stripe pays out to your bank on its standard schedule (1–2 business days).

20% on tool sales (15% if you're on the Builder tier). 10% flat on idea bounty payouts, regardless of tier. Refunds reverse automatically.

Buyers don't need a FORGE account to purchase your tool — Stripe Checkout handles guest checkout. They do get an email receipt and can come back to view their purchases anytime.

Nothing. You keep the source. Sell on FORGE, on your own site, on Gumroad, anywhere. We don't claim exclusivity. Free projects stay free forever.

Post an idea with a cash bounty attached — the bounty is pre-funded into escrow via Stripe. Other builders submit working tools that solve it. You pick the winner; the bounty pays out automatically (90% to builder, 10% platform fee). Unclaimed bounties auto-refund after the judging deadline.

Free tier: up to $10. Pro: up to $100. Builder: up to $2,000. Bounties above $100 also require 100 XP (≈ a few shipped tools or upvotes earned) — this prevents spam from empty accounts.

If the submission deadline passes with zero submissions, the bounty auto-refunds in full. If submissions came in but you don't pick a winner before the judging deadline, same thing — full refund.

Companies post a challenge with a prize pool. Builders submit their projects. The company picks winners and FORGE distributes the prize. Currently free for builders to enter (with a 50 XP minimum to filter empty accounts).

An automated review that compares an idea to the tool a builder submitted, telling you whether the build plausibly fulfills the request. Powered by Claude. Free tier gets 5 checks/month, Pro gets 50, Builder gets 200.

You can wait until the next month (cap resets the 1st UTC) or upgrade your plan.

Go to Settings → Account, enter a .edu (or recognized international student) email, click the verification link we send. The badge is permanent and lets you submit to student-only challenges.

Email hello@forgechallenge.com with the subject "Delete my account" from the address tied to your FORGE login. We'll confirm and remove your data within 7 days.

Currently no — usernames are permanent at signup. We'll add username changes in a future release.
